Differences and Repetition is a new catalogue presenting the functional objects of Shin Okuda and Kristin Dickson-Okuda - Waka Waka and Iko Iko, respectively. From the unique and whimsical shapes of the couple’s work a set of collages were built. Rough silhouettes of soft and hard forms adds painterly backgrounds to the fine detail and craft of the works. This creates another layer to the juxtaposition of the simple, smooth lines and color of Waka Waka’s furniture and the multiple textures of Iko Iko’s fabric objects. An investigation into the joint and the stitch.
Digital and risograph printing in a spiral bound book with fold out pages throughout. Accompanied by a double sided broadsheet.
