Pellucid Cavern found it’s conception by way of exploration of spectral synthesis (sweeping through odd and even partials of sine waves) and multitimbral layers of voices and penny whistle cut with frequency modulated percussion articulations. The performance’s constructed pathways tip the hat to Hollow Earth narratives, like Etidorhpa and Agartha through an Afrofuturist lens. Assembling and shaping landscapes built of crystalline cave systems is the visual focus. Burrowing deep into the center of a generated world is the gesture.
